How to Root Your Tecno Android Phone Without a PC
After receiving many requests from Tecno users on how to root their devices, I am happy to announce a reliable method to root most (if not all) Tecno phones without needing a computer.
Important Notices
- Disclaimer: This original method was first posted on Nairaland. I do not claim ownership of this exploit, but the steps below form a detailed, tested tutorial that has been modified by a friend and me for better clarity.
- Compatibility Note: This method does not work on HTC Android phones (this was confirmed via an HTC MyTouch 4G). It is strictly recommended for Tecno devices.
Step-by-Step Rooting Guide
1. Download the Application First, you need to download the rooting application called Framaroot.
2. Run the Exploit: Install and open the Framaroot app. Click on the Boromir option. A prompt message will appear telling you that you have successfully rooted your phone and that you need to reboot the system.
3. Boot into Recovery Mode. Switch off your Android phone completely. Next, reboot your phone into Recovery Mode by pressing and holding the Power Button + Volume Up Key simultaneously. Keep holding them until the Android robot appears on the screen.
4. Reboot Your System Once you are in Recovery Mode, locate the Reboot System option. Select it by clicking your first home button (or using the power button, depending on your device). Your phone will restart automatically.
That is all it takes! You have successfully rooted your Android phone in just a few minutes.

what are the disadvantage of root
It could brick your phone if you don’t follow the instructions properly. It could also void your warranty. Be careful,and try every trick et tips at your own risk. We ain’t responsible if you fry your phone.
